2009-10-22 - Jon Sanford, director of Georgia Tech’s Center for Assistive Technology and Environmental Access, gave an invited talk on The Physical Environment of Home Healthcare in Washington, DC on October 2. The talk, sponsored by the National Research Council, was hosted by the National Academy of Sciences and was part of a workshop called “The Physical Environment and Home Healthcare.” The National Academy Press plans to publish a book based on the workshop, which will include a chapter by Sanford that draws on his presentation. Additionally, he will be presenting on a similar theme in November at the annual meeting of the Gerontological Society of America in Atlanta. The title of that presentation will be “Universal Design and Home Health.”
