Designing for the Life Span Segment 3Packaged Products and Surface Graphics and Text.
Convenience foods are very highly used by older adults - as eating habits change and there is far less large meal preparation.
Many prepared foods/meals are contained in packaging that is covered with instructional, dietary and recipe information in text that is too small on glossy coated card stock. The package shown at the left is somewhat easier to use and to understand because the graphics and text remain uniform - unlike soft packaging that flexes and obscures information.
