Technology can extend the use of appliances to individuals with more severe levels of disability. The thermal induction cook-top cooked food without flame or heating surfaces. The advantage of the technology is that the surface of the cook-top itself never became hot. With the burner full on, it does not burn a hand placed on the cook-top surface.
Additionally, the sliding control devices were matched to each burner so that there is no mistaking which control operates which burner. Pictured is experimentation in the use of such technology for individuals who were blind.
