According to the demographer and author, Ben Wattenberg, who is paraphrased above, the rapidly declining birth rates around the world have resulted in population experts revising their estimations of world population growth and numbers. The revised estimate projects 650 million people fewer in the 21st century than anticipated during the 20th century.
