In April, CATEA partnered with three other Georgia Tech entities, the Aware Home Research Initiative (AHRI) and the Mobility, Wireless, and Workplace Accommodations Rehabilitation Engineering Research Centers (RERCs), and the Design and Technology for Healthy Aging Initiative (DATHA) as well as the interdisciplinary Happy Healthy Home Class for an open house event: Healthy Environments and Active Lifestyles.
This multi-center open house featured interdisciplinary and collaborative programs with researchers from Georgia Tech’s College of Architecture, College of Computing, College of Engineering, College of Sciences, GVU Center, Health Systems Institute, Ivan Allen College, and the Shepherd Center. All provided opportunities to see the results of past and current research activities, meet faculty, researchers and students, and view demonstrations of Georgia Tech projects focused on design and technologies to promote health, activity and participation of people of all abilities and ages.
